Personalized service is one of the characteristics that sets ELITE apart from other companies. This service is provided by a staff that is diverse in age, background, culture and gender.

When we recruit our employees, we look for individuals who have strong interpersonal communication skills and demonstrate the ability to learn quickly, make decisions and solve problems. We recruit these employees from a variety of sources, including the military, colleges and universities, law enforcement cadet programs, church groups, ROTC, athletic teams and by word of mouth from existing employees.

Our security officers are thoroughly screened for integrity as the State of California requires all employees to go through background investigations conducted by the State of California Department of Justice, Federal Bureau of Investigation and U.S. Department of Homeland Security prior to posting in a security role.

Because our employees are our most valuable asset, we invest heavily in
  • Training (the acquisition of knowledge which permits employees to perform their duties to standard)
  • Education (training employees to perform various job responsibilities)
  • Development (training employees to acquire new horizons, technologies or viewpoints) is essential to the success of our company and its employees.
The State of California also requires security officers to attend forty (40) hours of training. During the initial eight (8) hour course, prospective security officers are instructed on company policies and procedures, appearance and demeanor, how to provide outstanding customer service, emergency preparedness, safety awareness, client relations, report writing, dealing with guest problems and how to be proactive as opposed to reactive. Additionally, they also receive "C.P.R. Anytime" certification and Americans with Disabilities training. Finally, these prospects must view a presentation in "Weapons of Mass Destruction" and pass a test as well as pass a "Powers to Arrest" exam with a score of 100%.

The remaining thirty-two (32) hours of training cover topics such as Liability & Legal, Communications, Public Relations, Observation and Documentation, Officer Survival, Evacuations, Fire Prevention and Response, Crowd Management, Traffic Control, Handling Difficult People, Equipment Usage, Vehicle Safety, and Workplace Violence. Qualified instructors present this instruction in the form of lecture, video presentations, realistic demonstrations and written materials. This training stresses Quality Customer Service, our companies signature product.

Using this approach to training, education, and development improves and enhances the skills of our work force and ensures that our company gets the most from its resources. In addition, it helps us maintain a competitive edge over other security and event staffing companies in the area.

We also recognize our employees with incentives and rewards, including attendance rewards, longevity awards, productivity awards, company parties and picnics and a highly successful "Employee of the Month" program.
